LWG 2010 Snowshoe Winners

Tyler Hollett of Labrador City winning the mens snow shoe race in a time of 4:50:87.

Snowshoe races finished today at the 2010 Labrador Winter Games.
The top three males were:
Tyler Hollett, Labrador City: 4.50.87
Preston Morris, Cartwright: 4.53.86
Ramsey Powell, Charlottetown: 4.54.74
The men did three laps around a 400 meter track. It was very fitting that Ramsey Powell won a medal. He is the grandson of one of Labrador's most decorated trappers and author of Labrador By Choice; Uncle Ben Powell.
The top three females were:
Andrea Pardy, Cartwright: 3.24.79
Danielle Mcloughlan, Labrador City: 3.34.92
Sarah Sooley, Port Hope Simpson: 3.39.11
The women did two laps around a 400 meter track.
The top three teams in the relay were:
Labrador City: 5.55.74
Cartwright: 5.57.08
Goose Bay: 6.21.53
The teams did four laps around a 400 meter track with two females and two males.
