June 24, 2010: Nutrition Session, Canada Day Registration, Trapline Registration
Posted 07 June 2010, 8:21 pm ADT
Members of the TRC have been asking for more information on a range of topics. You are invited to attend a public presentation on running nutrition with Michael Palombi at 6pm on June 24th prior to TRC advance registrations. Michael will be available to answer questions after as well. This will be at the E.J. Bloomfield Arena.

Here is a bit about Michael.

I am originally from Sault Ste Marie, Ontario. I initially attended the University of Waterloo where I completed a degree in Kinesiology. After graduating, I attended McGill University and completed a degree in Dietetics and Human Nutrition. I have been working at the Labrador Health Centre since February where I am filling in for the Dietitian who is on maternity leave. I have a strong interest in sports nutrition as it allows me to combine my interests in exercise and human physiology with my career in nutrition.

All participants planning to run on Canada Day should be pre-registered the same as they were for Victoria Day. This is very important once again, please help spread the word about registration. If you are unable to make it, you can send someone to register for you. This will start at 7pm.

At this time we will also be taking advance registrations for the 2010 Trapline Marathon events. There is a registration cap this year and people are advised to register early for the Full Marathon (50 spots), Half Marathon (75 spots) and 10k (125 spots).
