Ken Stubbings from Cobourg, Ontario won the 4th annual Trapline Marathon Run for Diabetes presented by the Trappers' Running Club and the Northwest Company in a time of 3:14:42. Ken was joined at the top by Corenia Price of Happy Valley - Goose Bay with a time of 3:33:48. This is Corenia's second time winning the event, and she improved her personal best by over 8 minutes on her way to setting a new course record for the women.

Stubbings trekked to Labrador as part of a goal to run a marathon in each province and territory. Ken was part of a foursome with his wife Lynn, his brother in law Vince and his wife Lise who all traveled together. Brother in law Vince Purdue happens to be the race director for the Sudbury Rocks Marathon also in support of the Canadian Diabetes Association.

Ken followed up his Trapline performance with a 3:25:48 in PEI the following week. He had already met an earlier goal to run 50 marathons before he reached 50 years old and is now contemplating 100 by 100!
